I've overclocked my cd writer...I got some questions

I’ve updated my LTR32123s to LTR40125s.

Nero detects the update but the top write speed is still listed as 32x…Any ideas how come?

Another question is…Now that my cd writer is 40125s…Can I go to the Lite-On website and update my cd writer with 40125s firmwares?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Hia and welcome here.

You most likely have a 32x certified disc in the drive. Go get one that is certified for 40x and over (almost any these days).

Nope. XSU1 is a “special case”, it is not really a 5S-firmware, it’s something in between.

Thanks for the help! I’ll try new CDs as soon as I’m done my current spindle.

I just hope my questions weren’t too newbie…
