Perfect example of why anyone buying DRM music is not only stupid, but is actively encouraging and saying it’s ok for the music industry, and any industry in general to screw us and we’ll just take it lying down. If you walked into a store, bought a Music CD for £10 because it was on sale and then a week later in went up to £15 and the shop charged the extra £5 to my credit card you’d freak out and go off at them. They do the same sort of crap with the DRM and you lay there and take it like a bitch and then go buy more music off of them saying that it’s fine if they treat you this way, you’ll take it and come back for more. If I buy music it’s my music, just like if I buy a car it’s MINE. I refuse to let them then control what I can and cant do with it. If I buy a car, if I want to I can take it off road, skid it around dirt tracks, crash it into other cars in a derby, anything I want. I OWN it. When I download a song I’m not going to pay for something that they own and can at any point later down the line change what they feel like letting me do with it, what if they later decide to change it to not letting you burn it as burning it means u can re-rip it?? Your screwed if you dont realise it before you install the latest update. I say anyone buying DRM music is not only an idiot but is also actively encouraging the RIAA and the greedy corporate a**holes who drive around in top of the range Merc’s and live in HUGE houses while claiming that us normal people in Fords and small houses are depriving them of cash and making them starve! They can kiss my ass. As soon as one releases unrestricted music thats a reasonable price to download I’ll use it and I’ll push it to every one of my friends, till then p2p all the way!!
