This is my opinion too. I have been running the beta since it was made available and while it has a few kinks, I find it to be a worthy successor to XP. I hope MS keeps it lean and mean when the final release it made.
I just installed windows 7 as an up grade to my vista, first thing it said i must have sp1 installed which i went and done.
it took 3 hrs for the upgrade to complete and all went well, except for 2 programs, any dvd lastest verison didn’t work so i uninstalled and entered and older version not works fine, did not like my avg virus program, i uninstalled and reinstalled twice did not take, i then tried norton internet seruity 2009 worked partial, i then installed windows live care didnt work, then installed mcafee 2009 didnt work, called norton say to try 360 what a joke wouldnt let it install and finally f secure client security works great.
i also had no problems with my other programs
nero 7, clone dvd2, wireless printer, router, etc.
according to HP windows 7 can only be installed as ungrade due to recovery programs and drivers.
Windows 7 Is much faster and cleaner than vista.
