Hi, I been trying to burn ISO images of linux. I used Nero and used the "Check accuracy of Disk after being scanned" or something like that, when it ran, it came up with a whole shitload of Desk error reading from sector XX to XX.
I guess this might explain why whenever I went to install a linux image i burned, it would say corrupted/ or not found. THing is, I've tryed different media, cheap and expensive, two completely different burners, before I had a BenQ CD Writer, now I have a Dual Layer NEC3500a which I got less then a week ago.
I've also tryed switching software, I used Alcohol120%, the performence graph shows a good sign.
What I can say was, it must be software related because when I burned linux ISO images a couple years ago, it worked fine, I used the BenQ burner, now I replaced it thinking it was broken and that was why the ISO images aren't reading right but it's not that it seems.
Another thing, If I write a couple files of data to a disk, it will work fine, so it seems the problem lies within the software.
I'm using the latest Nero Ultra 6, with XP Service Pack 2.
Has anyone one run into a problem like this?
