I have an ISO file when played with the VLC media player shows a menu that allows access to various other parts of the show. I've used a couple of conversion products but they just have the actual movie in the output file, not the menu. This denies access to some important and interesting features. Is there any way to convert this ISO file to a DivX file and retain those menus?
It is possible to make a Divx video with menus. You'll need either Divx Author or Tmpgenc Authoring Works 4.
I don't think you will be able to retain the original menus, but you should be able to recreate what you have on the original file.
Also FYI, if you want to burn to disc and play on a standalone DVD player it needs to be DVD/DivX Ultra certified to play divx with menu(s)...And for PC, DivX player..
Thanks for the info. I'll download DivX author and see if it will do what I need.
