Iso file not playing on Blue Ray Player

I have a question… I am totally clueless with all this stuff so please bare wtih me…

Okay, I used DVDshrink to rip a movie to my computer. I re-authored it to only save the movie , not the features, and i saved it as an ISO file and used Nero (the free version) to burn it to a dvd as an ISO. It was my understanding from what I’ve read that an ISO file will play in a normal DVD player.

However, when I put it in my blue ray player, it reconizes the file as an image file but it won’t open it.

This might be the dumbest question ever, and I might be an idiot, but what am i doing wrong?

ISO file you can use something like ImgBurn (www.imgburn.com , which is FREE and all i use myself for all DATA burning i do) to burn a ISO file so that it will play in a regular DVD Player.

but basically in ImgBurn go to ‘MODE > WRITE’ then load the ISO file and burn

you cant just burn a ISO file itself directly to a dvd otherwise nothing will play it.

p.s. i am just assuming that the ISO file you have is standard dvd format.

Thank you so much, I’ll try that!

Yes!! Success!! That worked like a charm!! Thank you so much! :flower:
