Is this Red Book compliant?

Hello all.

It’s well known there are Philips and Sony flavors for subcode blocks starting program area,
from the first until the one before INDEX turns to 01. My question is…
Are both flavors valid during the rest of the program area?

The sequence of the left (Philips) was observed in a pressed CD with large pauses,
while the sequence on the right (Sony) comes from a cuesheet burn of its content.

Thanks beforehand for your valuable help.

I am not sure I understand the question. But, the Sony style applies to all tracks and the Philips style applies to all tracks. It is every track that follows these rules, not just the first one.

Is this what you are asking?

Thanks Rich!

Yes, your answer is what I needed,
now I know both sequences are in spec.

Have a good night.
