I have heard of 3 GB version of Nvidia GTX 580 card coming but not if from Gigabyte or eVGA.

I would ask of you if there are to be 3 GB versions from either or both of companies above.

I have not to purchase GTX 580 yet but had thought to soon to drive 30" LCD and had heard of 3 GB and been told for game like Civilization V at very high resolution on 30" extra memory would be helping with maps of huge size.

I look forward to reply

Thank you

Thank you for reply

I have found now on EVGA and NEWEGG the 3 GB card. Clock is reference so is not to be as fast as 1.5 GB Super OC or new Gigabyte card of 1.5 GB which is very fast 855 / 1710. EVGA 3 GB is 772 / 1554

I would ask if it likely to have releases of 3 GB card with faster clock like those in EVGA Super OC (797 / 1594) or even Gigabyte over time or if that is to be doubted.

855 vs 772 is noticeable jump

Thank you for helping

I’m sure it will OC to meet your needs, I’m running 2GB version 460GTX-Core @851 and memory @2044 stable forever :). 700 core and 1800 memory were the stock settings http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130611
