First of all, when you burn a data dvd, is there anyway that people/programmes can detect the burning location of that disc or the origin of the files on it?

If they can

Is there any software that removes location of burn/hides the origional file location/location where files were created or downloaded to.

hope this makes sense!!

was that some sort of a joke? :a

when you burn files to a cd/dvd , their original location on the hard drive cannot be read from the cd/dvd disc as that sort of information is not even written to it,the only “identifying” data that gets written to the disc is the burnning software used/date/model of the burner (for dvd discs only)

You want the smart ass answer of the possible most worst and usual scenario’s?

Smart ass: Yes they can. You bought the device and you’re on camera

Most worst: Yes they can. Everything you do is actually recorded somehwere someplace.

Usual: People write their dvd’s with Nero. Nero leaves traces on the dvd. The dvd itself has a serial number, but it’s usually not recorded.

Is there any software that removes location of burn/hides the origional file location/location where files were created or downloaded to.
Leave no traces in nero and use sandpaper to remove the serial number on the disc.

What grade of sandpaper should he use?

#8

a non-traceable brand would be good

#9

Yo-

Actually - if y’all go into Command Prompt and type in “delete C:*.*” it will remove all traces of the seriel number-eh!

#10

This will also clean up all traces nicely.
