Is there a way to change the compilation size?

I have Nero burning rom v 7.0.1.2
At the lower right of the window it gives two options DVD5 and DVD9.
But DVD5 is up to 4483 MB. Why is that? I mean all regular dvds can hold up to 4.7 GB. Is there a way to change it?

You won't get all the 4.7 GB due to calculation of bits in bytes.

What is the capacity of a DVD disc?
DVD-R/W: 4,707,000,000 Bytes, i.e. 4,489 MB or 4,38 GB
DVD+R/W: 4,700,000,000 Bytes, i.e. 4483 MB.
DVD+R9 (somewhen available): 8,500,000,000 Bytes
