Is there a faster way to convert .avi and .mpeg files to dvd? I am using dvdSanta and it takes 5 hours!!!

#2

What spec PC have you got as that’s a major factor in conversion times?

#3

Intel Pentium 4 1.4 GHz
256 Ram

Then 5 hours is about right. More memory might help you though.

Shame about yesterday by the way. My wife is a longtime Spurs fan and was most dissappointed. However, my son is WestHam & feeling rather smug today.

You may be able to knock some time off the conversion by using a second HDD for the output (i.e. not a separate partition on the same drive). However if you’re using a laptop, don’t bother if the only external connection is USB.

I am a San Antonio Spurs fan.

I must stop making assumptions. :o

Hope they’re doing OK.

Yeah, they won their first of at least 4 playoff game in the Western Semifinals.
