Everytime I write something, the discs appears as a blank disc even though there are content on it. I pop the disk on to another drive and the disc is blank. Makes me wonder if the drive wrote anything on the disc even though the light turned yellow.
Hello ! nice weather in Vancouver ? Herer we have a "lot" of snow ...
Unfortunaly I dont know exactly the answer to your problem but reading these following links might help you at least underestanding the problem
PX-716 Series Media Listhttp://plextor.com/english/support/media_716.htmCD-RWhttp://plextor.com/english/support/media_716.htm#cdrw
Is your blinking yellow or amber ? It neeeds good eyes … (Beware:this page descibes it for the former PX-712, needs an update form Plextor))http://plextor.com/english/support/plexhelper/atapi/blink712A-SAandUF.htm
They speak about yellow blinking in this review of CDR Labs:http://www.cdrlabs.com/reviews/index.php?reviewid=254&page=Features
I can write them in the PX716, but the readability is very bad. Verbatim 32x discs cause a medium error.... the very same discs work perfectly in Plextor 712, LG 4120B/4163B and Pioneer A08, so I think the discs are ok
I got Very good results when burning Verbatim (made in Singapore) 24X RW'swith PX716 Firmware 1.04After some 50 Rewrites still low C1 and C2
Isn't Vertbatim 24x CDRW listed as a recommended media on Plextor's list for the 716A? Has the media source changed recently or something? Check the media code.
Verbatim 24x CD-RW media is the only 24x CD-RW media at all which works, no matter on what drive, and it is listed
I'm not sure then. I flashed my drive to the latest firmware. I burned content on to the 24x Verbatim CDRW, but it can't read it afterward. I honestly don't know what's going on.
