Is The ND-3500 picky about being master over slave?

I have a Liteon 812S@832S as secondary master, & my new 3500 as secondary slave, but from the results I am getting from the NEC it would appear that my liteon will get more use scanning and not much else. Is there
any advantage at this point in putting the NEC in the master position?
Could I see even better performance from it if I do this? Otherwise I don’t see a point in playing musical drives.
