Is Pioneer 109 same drive as Pioneer a09 and Asus DRW 1608p?

asus 1608=Pioneer 108 oem.

Pioneer 109 is the OEM version of the A09.

Asus 1608p is the OEM version of Pioneer DVR-109.
The retail drives are mostly named like x09 XL.

Watch out for some Pioneer drives with the XL letters as they have two versions, one of which is a model with extra sound reduction. In the past they have had different firmware, otherwise the burning characteristics are the same.

In the UK, IIRC :

Asus 1604 = Pioneer 108

Asus 1608 = Pioneer 109
