Is overclocking Northwood Pentium 4 dangerous?

Personally, I have used two Willamette Pentium 4 but no Northwood. I still run my old Athlon processors at home.

I overclocked my dad’s ( ) P4 2.53 to about 2.9 Ghz, with pretty decent air cooling. It’s been running fine for 3-4 months now. Personally Kenny, I think YMMV, some people get insane STABLE ocs out of the Northwoods, and some peoples’ ocs fail quickly. I think it depends on the cooling, case ventilation, voltages etc… too many variables to make a definite conclusion.
