Is one of these (cable)options going to be better than the other?

i am currently setting up my pc to watch high def thru my TV and am wondering does anyone know if there is any difference between:

a - a dvi to hdmi connector on the back of my pc and then a fairly long hdmi to my TV input or…

b - a cable of equal length but half the price which had dvi on one end and hdmi on the other?

i don’t see why it would be any different quality but the second option is much cheaper is there any reason not to do it this way?

No, there is no reason, not to do it this way…Save some $ and eliminate the DVI>HDMI connector…

great, thanks for the input.

like yer avatar, btw…

The limit is 45 feet to maintain HDCP compliance.
