its a gr8 writer and x48 is cool
but an option to write in x52 sounds nice

do u know is this drive is based on a differnt company drive
(lite-on,acer,etc…)?

It is manufactured by Samsung. If you want to try, then go ahead. I’m just saying that it’s not worth even trying. The difference between 48x and 52x is very slim.
