Is an EFM compatible burner required for safedisc 2.51+ and Alcohol 120%? Or have they somehow managed by the grace of god to patch the weak sectors in their own special way so that all or most burners can do it properly? And also, just so i’m clear, Alcohol can currently EMULATE but not CREATE DISCS OF securom 4. Thanks guys.

You need a 2 sheep burner to copy sd 2.51+ successfully with alcohol. The program does not have any weak sector enhancement function though it does have a safedisc emulation function equivalent to that of daemon tools for imperfect safedisc copies.

As for the latest versions of securom, it can create an image that will work when mounted from your hard disk on a virtual drive. You cannot get a fully working 1:1 backup by burning the image.
