Is all Fuji media Taiyo Yuden?

I’ve been having trouble with my current media (Memorex DVD+R) so i have been looking at Taiyo Yuden media to try.

I ordered a 50 pack of Samsung from Newegg.com, but it sounds like theres a chance it won’t be Taiyo Yuden.

At Best Buy yesterday i saw they have 25 pack, 50 pack, and 100 packs of Fujifilm 4X DVD+R that all say they are made in Taiwan. Are these all Taiyo Yuden?

No, most likely RicohJPN or Prodisc.

Thanks for the response. So i’m guessing the pack of Fuji has to say “Made in Japan” to be Yaiyo Yuden?

Yes, if it says Made In Japan it is Taiyo Yuden. I think any disc truly made in Japan must be Taiyo Yuden and even if it is not I’m willing to bet it is very high quality like Mitsui or Taiyo

Thanks for clearing that up for me. Looks like i will have to wait and see if the Samsung ones i ordered are Taiyo Yuden…hopefully they are.

yea, seems like newegg plays the media carousel from what i’ve read. Those samsungs used to be Taiyo Yuden but now they are Optodisc from what i’ve read. A big difference between the two. Oh well, I love Ritek and just got in on the Ritek deal at shop4tech. $44.10 for a 100 pk using that coupon code “DN10.” All the ones in the past i’ve bought have been G04’s so I suspect these will too.
