I have a sony handycam dcr-trv33 which is an old model now and I want to convert its tape to dvd. I bought 4pin-4pin ilink cable and connected its one end to camcorder and another to my build-in laptop 1394 socket. After I turned the camcorder to vcr mode, my video processing software did not recognize it as a video capture device. What is the problem with it? I know 4pin-4pin ilink cable is correct for sony handycam, so it is not the cable problem. Then is the 1394 driver? 1394 does not need driver I think, the camcorder should be recognized as long as I connected ilink to it. I find in device manager, under the network adapter, there is 1394 network adapter. I wonder why 1394 is a network adapter? Is the driver correct? How I configure the correct 1394 driver in xp?
Any ideas are appreciated!
