Ipod video audio bit rate setting-increase?

Is there a way to increase the audio bitrate for the Ipod videos? I noticed it seems that 128 kbps is the highest regardless of setting. I know Itunes now has some videos being downloaded at 256 kbps for the audio. Can DVDFAB Platinum be increased somehow to 192 kbps or higher for the audio with a video? I am currently using Ipod.mpeg4 setting to make Ipod videos. I have a Ipod Classic 80gb.

With the larger Ipods space is not much of an issue anymore. Thanks for any help. Maybe I am missing something also.

Find the profile file usually located at C:\Program Files\DVDFab Platinum 4\Profiles for the apple ipod “ipod.mpeg4.xml” and open it in windows notepad.

Find the line <bitrate value=“64000” list=“32000,48000,64000,96000,128000” /> and change it to
<bitrate value=“64000” list=“32000,48000,64000,96000,128000,160000,192000,256000” />
Save and then open DVDFab. New values should be listed. :slight_smile:

You can also change the default value used by DVDFab mobile by changing value=“64000” to some other value like value=“192000”

Thanks for the help. I would never have figured this one out. I will give this a try.
