Vividere - If you seek a late model Canon printer that uses the same print engine as the iP4500, and you are OK with buying a DVD tray and doing the firmware mod to enable disc printing in USA models, and could use an all-in-one printer, the MX-850 is still available (for the time being) and can be found deeply discounted at times in the $100-$130 range.
Otherwise, the only currently available USA consumer grade direct-to-disc printers will be by Epson and HP. The HP printers have disc print quality issues and should be avoided.
Current Epson models include:
[li]R280 - direct from Epson. (Could be refurb.) But good supply of aftermarket ink and carts.[/li][li]1400 series - an expensive wide format printer, but good supply of aftermarket inks and carts.[/li][li]Artisan 700/800 Multifunction - But is new enough where there is not much aftermarket ink or resettable carts/CIS systems for it. The only bulk ink I can find for it comes from China…[/li][/ul]
