Hi Chris and welcome to the forum ,
Regarding your questions :
Was wondering if DVD Copy is a good piece of writing software for a beginner?
Well , honestly ? I don't know. I use Nero and i use CloneCD for writing my media. I have used InterVideo's dvd playback software and i am quite impressed by the user friendliness of it. But i was very dissapointed with WinDVD producer (An OEM version was included with my GeForce4 card).
Also, will AnyDVD work with it OK or should I consider something else, if so what?
That's the fun thing here. AnyDVD is shareware. You can try it out for some time. If it doesn't fullfill your requirements , you can wipe it from your harddisk. If you do like it , you can agree to purchase it. My experiences with AnyDVD are positive.
Don't want to have to spend a fortune on software just in case I can't get things working.
Usually , you don't. There are tons of shareware programs out there. Even Nero can be tried for some amount of time. In the end it's YOU who decides if you are going to purchase a license or removing it from your computer system.
Also I want something that's simple to work with, can't get my head around too much techie fiddling about.
No problem. The information around our forums can be somewhat overwhelming the first read , but the topics aren't running away. You can always reread and search for potentially interesting items. We hope we can offer you a very user friendly method of discovering new programs , asking questions and perhaps even make some new friends and share your knowledge with us.
