The issue on this one is not the RIAA most likely. It’s ASCAP. The songwriters are supposed to get a small amount every time a song is played on the radio. I am not sure where the law actually stands on this one. And, personally, on this one I would stand squarely behind ASCAP. The songwriters SHOULD be paid. OTOH, I wouldn’t give a rat’s @$$ if everyone of the major record labels went belly up.
