Hi everyone , first thanks for your help last time, this time i am stuck on the internet , i have a virgin packet and have upgraded to 20Gb
Internet speeds go in mbit, not in Gigabyte.

I can either assume you have 20 Mbit data stream or can download a maximum of 20Gigabyte.

20MBit speed is quite nice

, when i tried the speed test on cnet i got 4127kbps download and 666kbps upload so i am trying to improve speeds.
So about 4mbit down and 1 mbit upstream.

i have a 140 d-link at 300kbps limit so ibought a d-link du 520 pci adapter , speeds at 480kbps
So thats your modem or is it your router?

, then i was told about a 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet 32bit Adapter RJ-45 .i dont mind any cables , so what do i do ? i understand all this like i understand greek so if anyone can simplyfy the answer i would be very greatful ,many thanks brianr5451
Ethernet speeds can indeed be 10, 100 or 1000. This, however, has nothing to do with your internet speeds.

I have 4 pc’s with 100Mbit ethernet, yet my internet is only 4Mbit
