I thought the 209D don´t know this media and will only allow 4x with standard-strategy, but 2,4x was also possible. But the result don´t looks like it knows this media

The old Plex like it much more

Could you retest these media after 2-4 months? Dyes from Interaxia AG were infamous for rapid deterioration.
By the way, these DVDs were made by Monarch Photonics Corp.

2-4 months? Sounds extrem, but I noted it, would do a retest soon

Are the Dye or the stamper from Interaxia? And what made Monarch by themselves?

Yes, both dye and stamper were likely supplied by Interaxia (and probably also the complete process know-how). Most smaller manufacturers used to buy complete turnkey solutions from dye/stampers or machinery suppliers like Interaxia, Plasmon, Ciba, Singulus, Anwell etc.

Thank you for the info

I will not forget to do a re-test in some month with the Plextor-burn. The Pioneer-burn I will throw away

I think you should have tried 4x with the Pioneer too.
2,4x is maybe just an universal strategy.

Where did you buy them? According to your tests, you were lucky to get some pretty rare media recently. :givewink:

Ebay and Ebay Kleinanzeigen Germany :wink:

Which other rare media you mean? DKMZ01, PRINCO, …?

@vogelschreck

Will try it next time with 4x.

Some writers also show 6x and 8x, even some actual 8x Slimline-drives

Still not good. In the past I was sure if more than one (standard-speed like 1x or 4x) is possible the writer-FW know this media. But dunno whether I´m right

8x was also possible, but at 91% it stopped burning. 4x also bad, I think this writer have a burn out.
