I got stuck with a whole spindle of 50 Intenso DVD-R 16X blanks which are almost useless with the Pioneer DVD writer in my home PC. By useless I mean that besides only being recognised as a 4X media, it is impossible to burn data DVDs if I try to put in more than 4.1GB of data, less than that , I just may - sometimes and with lots of tries and patience… but if any more data than that is tried to be written, I get a ‘Write error’ almost as soon as the the burner starts trying to write on the media.
I have even tried updating the firmware and even inserting the media code for these blanks (infomedia R30) into the firmware - but still no joy.
So, is it just my drive, or has anybody else had this same experience. And is there anything else I can do to make my Pioner DVD writer work with this media?
