Intel releases Solid State Drive Toolbox 3.2.0

Intel released version 3.2.0 of its drive management software Solid State Drive Toolbox. This software allows you to easily obtain information about your drive. It can provide you with the drive's health, SMART attributes and identification data. The SSD Toolbox also allows for optimization of the drive performance and alerts you when new firmware updates are available.

Here is the changelog for Intel SSD Toolbox 3.2.0

  • This version of the tool contains a firmware update for the Intel SSD 530 Series (to version DC32) with the following changes:
    • Default Software Settings Preservation (SSP) for DIPM is changed from a default = on, to a DEFAULT = OFF. This addresses situations in older systems where the drive was not found after a warm reset causing blue screens.
    • Corrects an occasional miss-reporting of SMART attribute E3h (Timed Workload Read/Write ratio).
    • The drive no longer increments SMART 0Ch (Power Cycle Count) after a SECURE ERASE operation.

You can download the software from Intel's download page here.
