Intel today officially released its Optane SSD 800P series targeted at mainstream consumers. The drives make use of 3D Xpoint memory and are available in capacities of 58GB and 118GB. I really don’t understand these drives. The sizes alone leave me scratching my head. I have the 280GB 900P and wish I had picked up the 480GB version now.

They just want to make it sound like they are doing something for the people.
Those are just to small to be really useful IMHO
