Upcoming Intel processors will be designed to have hardware-based protection against the Spectre and Meltdown attacks, according to Intel’s CEO Brian Krzanich in an announcement on the company’s website. The first CPUs to benefit from this protection will be Xeon Cascade Lake processors and Intel 8th generation Core processors.

It’s about freakin’ time! Too bad most of my Intel processors are all older than 5 years. I don’t suppose Intel will be releasing new microcode for these 6-8 year old processors. Nevermind the fact that these processors are just as vulnerable as the latest processors, they’re slightly old. *sigh*

How about giving revised CPU to those older iNtel user and or replace their CPU mounted board with new boards with new updated CPU but you can guess they will not do that. Typical of Coporate GREED get all the money but when the piper calls fails to cut off your arm/leg to repair the damage you did.
