My original plan was to go with a Casio thermal printer (either CW-80 or CW-100) and print on Taiyo Yuden Silver Lacquer DVDs. It produces a decent finishes from examples I've seen, but I'm looking for other options. I've been reading reviews of the Casios and they seem fairly inconsistent and I can't afford to lose discs. I also saw you can get about 35/50 prints from a 7:00 cartridge.
I don't need a printer than can do everything as I've already got a regular printer.
I'm looking to spend under $.50 a disc, would prefer some type of Taiyo Yuden at 16X.
I'm looking for suggestions. Keeping print costs down at or below $.35 would be ideal.
I've also heard inkjets need a lot of time to dry, which wouldn't be ideal considering I'm planning on starting a business that needs to do about 20 discs a day. They also need to hold up during shipping.
I'm looking to spend around $100 for the printer. Open to suggestions and would appreciate any help.
