Is it just me or are us two the only people in Australia that give a hoot about firmware?
Well...I may be a programmer, but as dhc014 told me recently, you really need to have experience with the hardware to be a firmware coder - so, he busted me down to size good and proper there.
Even though I know a bit of ASM and the like, I doubt it would be benificial to me in trying to code my own firmware.
The reason I want tech-docs is to find out more about the chipsets capabilities. Like, everyone is always saying:
"oh yeah - its a +/- compatible chipset, they just need to figure out how to implement that kind of thing" or
"yeah, it will have Mt. Rainer support in the end"...
Well, I want PROOF of all this. I just want a more indepth knowledge of it all.
How is your drive going anyways NevOz? The new firmware seems to have made my spikes in c1, c2's smooth out a bit. You?
