Alternatively I think you can load Herries 107v2B5 firmware onto the drive, which’ll allow Bit Setting amongst other facilities… Try here… http://forum.rpc1.org/viewtopic.php?t=25904&highlight=107v2B5+Herrie

Uh Gristy! I Thought we settled this in the Dual-Layer thread in the Forum.No need to increase anything that no one is buying or are they? and what is this talk about increasing Combatibility you mean if you buy a drive you are only getting a brand’s disc THAT BLOWS! We did not have such problems with VCR’s And we sure should not with DVD.
