Subject: InCD v4010 - Install Problem in win98SE

Hello (- Sydney Australia)

Minor issue - for some reason 4010 will not install in Win 98SE.
Obviously I have Un-installed old, etc. Tried install in Safe Mode, etc etc.
After installing 4010 I get the BSOD “An exception 0E has occurred at 0028:E816F14A in VxD —. This was called from 0028:c1c346c0 in Vxd voltrack (04) + 00000430 It may be possible to continue normally… etc”
Taking any action from this point goes nowhere - system does
not continue to boot and stops at a blank screen.
I have re-installed v 3.5.24 - without a problem. I can use InCD
3524 I do not HAVE TO HAVE 4010 in win98se.

If however you know the cause of the problem, please let me know.

REPLY.

Dear Customer,

Thank you for your email.

Apparently there is a bug in the program. In the meantime, please stay with the old version until Our Engineers can resolve this issue.

Thanks for the warning!

I’m experiencing some glitches with InCD 4.0.1.0 on my XP SP1 box, and have not installed it so far on my 98SE box, where InCD 3.52.40 is working fine. I’ll wait for the next release.

Should have no problem in XP.
Note that “Eject” is not an InCD function any more. CD is normal functionality as for any other, eject is via button on CD-RW.
Also Format is via Explorer or My Computer by right mouse clicking on CD-RW drive letter and in popup menu, InCD now has format function entry in that menu.
Nero will fix the voltrack error for 98 asap.

Let’s hope Ahead fixes other XP problems as well, such as those mentioned in
