Hi...I havent been able to get a sure answer anywhere, so I came here.
I want to upgrade camcorders from mini videotape to digital. I havent decided which to buy yet, (mini DVD, memory card, internal HD, etc) and have a few questions.
First- Ok, with videotape lets say you're recording something staged, like a amatuer performance. Sombody makes a mistake halfway through. You could just stop recording. Look in the veiwfinder/screen, hit play, then reverse, back up to the point of the mistake, STOP, everyone get back in place and begin re-recoding from that point. I was so good at it, that you would hardly notice.
Ok, can I do this with digital recording? And if so, what formats (DVD, card, etc) or which current camera models do this?
Or do I need to go to the very begining and start all over, or use what I have & edit it out entire sections later, or on a PC.
