I can’t help you, as far as editing right on the camera. I would never do that, as it is much better as far as I’m concerned, to just shoot extra footage, and edit it on the pc, .
I would not go with a Hard Drive type camcorder, as if the hard drive goes, it would be a bit more spendy to replace,
I personally prefer mini-dv as I like to save my original footage on the dv tape. DV tape is cheap if you watch for sales.
Ok, you dont personally like to do that, but is it possible the way I described? have you ever tried it with Mini DV? (and you mean mini DVD disc, right?)
I agree with avoiding the internal hard disc type for the same reasons.
Is there any better picture/sound quality of Mini disc vs memory stick?
(example my JVC mini VHS tapes had much better picure & sound than my friends Sony 8mm tapes…I suppose due to more recording surface)
And I also like the option of keeping original footage. Be that as it may, there are times, depending on subject matter, when it’s easier just to run back and “do-over” from the flub-point. So can anyone else tell me?
