Impossible to install my Ricoh RW8160 Firmware

Hello,

I have a problem with my laptop’s burner (Ricoh RW8160). It don’t burn dvd anymore. I’ve decided to install a new firmware (1.08) but I can’t. On the first dialogue box of RFlash (information) it is writing :
Eject Disc from Target Drive.
There 's no Disc in the drive.
Then when I click on Start :
Cannot change Drive to Up Mode
NGNGNG**
Make sure Selected Target Drive
I don’t understand… I’ve selected my drive.
Then I can’t open my drive. I have to reeboot my computer to open it.

You have the wrong firmware then.

Try with the MP firmware and the latest RFLASH version.

I don’t find the MP firmware. I think it’s the same for the both versions RW and MP. I’m asking to myself wether my burner is out of order or not. Is there a way to verify this ?

I’ve just tried to reinstall nero 6. I’ve removed it with nero clean tool. The problem is the same. Here is a logfile from Nero. What’s the problem ?

Nero 6.0.0.19 is obsolete, try to upgrade to 6.6.0.18.

I’m trying to update Nero.
The link just allows me to download DVD Region+Css Free. But I can’t download the firmware (I’ve already got this firmware, I think it’s the same that I try to install).
My laptop is a fujitsu siemens. On their site they say that it’s a RW. And many software detect my burner as a RW. Is this right ? I don’t know.

That’s why it is an OEM model.
Ask them for a update/flasher for your drive.

Your burner is an +R and +RW compatible burner, dunno if it supports burning -R and -RW too.
