ImgBurn problem

I used DVDShrink to make an ISO file. Then I used ImgBurn to burn the file onto a DVD. But before it even gets to begin to burn it, it comes up with an error.
This is the log from ImgBurn. If anyone can please tell me what is wrong, or any advice, i would really appreciate it.

Hi michael1290, welcome to CDFreaks!

Your Sony DW-D22A drive probably doesn’t support the RITEKF1 (16x DVD-R) media, as the drive is designed for only 8x DVD-R media (and 16x DVD+R).

You might try upgrading the firmware, or using some other more compatible media such as e.g. Verbatim 16x DVD+R media.

EDIT: Even the latest firmware for the DW-D22A doesn’t support RITEKF1 media, and neither does the latest firmware for the LiteOn SOHW-1633S which is the same hardware.

If you’re willing to risk cross-flashing your drive, which will void your warranty and also involves a very small risk of something going wrong, then you can download the LiteOn SOHW-1653S CS0T firmware available here for the LiteOn SOHW-1653S which should be compatible with your drive. You need to extract the firmware from the RAR archive first, and then run the executable file to cross-flash your drive.

If you’re not comfortable trying this with the risk involved, then I suggest you get some 8x rated media or some Verbatim 16x DVD+R media.

thank you DrageMester.
I will try that out
