Imgburn issues w/ dl dvd

Hello -

I have been trying to burn a few dvd’s with imgburn with no success. Have been doing hours of research but came to dead end. First I already switched from memorex brand to the verbatim’s. Installed the latest firmware for Lite on shw 160p6s. This is one of the logs from imgburn. The two previous attempts ended up erroring at 50 percent with same error.

Any ideas? I can burn a dvd R movie no problems.

Where are the verbatims made?

I assume you’ve tried setting the write speed to 2.4x?

If you drive won’t burn them at either of the supported speeds (2.4x and 4x) and they’re the good ones from Singapore, try cleaning your drive.

If that fails, buy a new one. (If it can’t burn the best DL media available, what use is it?!)

@Rothi
There is no need to argue. The rules of this forum are very clear.
As Da_Taxman would say: Respect CDFreaks by respecting our rules.

I just bought a DVD-DL game recently (a while ago actually), and I don’t want to overuse the disc. Would I need to install an addon to imgBurn to be able to make a backup copy of the disc? Or can it do that natively?

My other burning software can only burn up to half of the 1st layer. With no background programs running. And I have 2 GiB RAM, on Windows 7. I’m using Optiarc AD-7561S, and burned at 2.4x.

Thanks!

Games on DVD usually have a copy protection, so you cannot use Imgburn to copy it…

I have the same problem with Verbatim DL discs with legal material at all supported speed and it is not related to writer program at all. My writer is an LG H60 upgraded to H66.

You point to illegal material as a source of evil and this error have no connection to that at all. This is what my notice for.

Because it’s happened in the past I have no logfile at hand sorry.
