Ok im running a Pioneer DVR-1910LS Which of course supports DL disks, im using Verbatim DVD+R DL 8.5 GB 2.4x speed disks… Im trying to burn a back up of my xbox 360 game Dark sector. I have the .ISO file and my .DVD file both together and im using IMGBurn and selecting the .DVD file and letting burn. Its burning at 2.4X and gets pretty far. I just finished backing up my game bourne conspiracy and its worked like a charm… everytime i try and burn this game its gets messed up and gives the following log:

Moved to the CD Freaks ‘ImgBurn support’ section.

There should be a firmware update available for the drive somewhere.

You might also like to try burning at the faster ‘supported’ speeds (i.e. 4x, 6x, 8x), you may have more luck with them.

Where were your Verbatim discs manufactured? (look on the packaging / box / case / tub/ spindle)

Ok ill check out new firmware and see what thats lookin like, but as for the write speed i heard that 2.4x is the only speed to back up xbox 360 games… i also heard 2x was the most recommended, if i write at 4x or 8x arnt i insured a mistake will happen? as for the disks they were made in singapore

Definitely look for a firmware update (like 1.00 sounds like the original one). And not having the rated speed as one of the speeds is very iffy.

what could cause it to not have a rated speed?

Stupid old myths you “heard”. Also, 2x is impossible, the slowest +R/DL speed is 2.4x.
HOW did you create the backup/ISO??
