I am using imgbrn as my burning engine. (Hope I am saying this correctly). Imgbrn starts up and at the bottom I get this error that comes up.
W 21:39:33 DeviceIoControl(FSCTL_LOCK_VOLUME) Failed! - Reason: Access is denied.
W 21:39:33 DeviceIoControl(FSCTL_DISMOUNT_VOLUME) Failed! - Reason: Access is denied.
I have done 4 dvd’s so far and am wondering if this is a setting issue. I have change the following settings from a post that I read up on.
Open ImgBurn and click on “Tools” located on the menu bar and select "Settings"
click on the “Build” tab and make sure there is a check mark in the following boxes
1…Check 'Close Program’
2…Don’t Prompt Image Details
3…Don’t Prompt VIDEO_TS Content
4…Don’t Prompt Volume Label
any other boxes can stay as they are.
Can anyone explain what this is thanks rip…
In a nutshell, Imgburn is trying to isolate the drive for the write process so that nothing else your system may be doing will interfere.
The firmware in your drive determines whether or not to allow such an action by an external program, and your obviously does not. (neither does mine).
Don’t worry about it, as the write will proceed normally, even though Imgburn can’t lock the volume or dismount the drive. You may notice the graphic beside these warnings - it’s a cautionary only, not an error, and can’t - that I’ve been able to find - to be disabled within Imgburn.
