1/ When music artists release a (bonus) DVD that has video clips, live concerts, etc.. on it, which format is being used in the industry (DVD-video, DVD-Audio?) music and what is the maximum play time they can have on such a DVD. If I understand it correct the max. play time is determined by the quality, so which quality do major artists normally use on those DVD's and what's the max. play time then?!
1/b/ perhaps it would be interesting if somebody could give an overview of the qualities + there play length that can be used to record on DVD's cause this has always confused me. Is this different between commercial DVD's and DVD's on which you can record yourself with a PC DVD-burner and different from DVD videorecorders?!
2/ Something else I have never really understood: what's the max. play time of a commercial audio CD. I always thought that it was 74 minutes, however I have compilation CD's from '95 (so that's some time ago) that go to 77 minutes?! How long can a commercial CD be that can play in all audio CD players?! Doesn't the red book standard say anything about that, or isn't that used or what?..
I really hope those who know about all this can clarify the above questions. Please keep my numbering to keep a good overview! Thanks very much!!
