These (rather rare) media were made by Prodisc. Could you post some quality tests?

At 8X in Alcohol 120%

Reference CMC mag 48x RiDisc, burnt at 16x in Alcohol 120% (my staple disc :P)

Dissapointingly mediocre… I think my drive is dying though, will reconnect my LiteON (SHW16HS or something like that) later and try with that… was unplugged as my previous power supply ran out of connectors.

:edit: Also, will CD-DVD speed scan up to 99 minutes? I intend to burn them properly soon and will post scans if my drive will do it…

I don’t think these results are disappointing. They are actually pretty good.
:edit: Also, will CD-DVD speed scan up to 99 minutes?
Yes, AFAIK there should be no problem.
I don’t think these results are disappointing. They are actually pretty good.
I agree. :iagree:
I agree. :iagree:
:iagree: the same. Now we need some 99minute disc burns and scans!

I meant dissapointly mediocre as it was alright… I was expecting something a lot more colourful. :stuck_out_tongue:

Here is a 811MB/92Minute burn.

The seek time test at the edge of the disk caused the program to slow to a halt and my drive made hideous noises so I had to stop it as it hurt my heart. :frowning:

Oh, well now I get it.

Generally all drives based on NEC chipsed do have a big problems with reading of >90 min CD-R media. AFAIK almost all NEC-based drives cannot read >93-94 min parts of 99 min CD-Rs.
By the way, what is the stamper code of these media?

Let me clean my scanner and try again…

You do that, and if you can give a link to the full sized scan, because this one is to big to be displayed correctly.
