I don't expect my own Intel Core i5 M 520 @2.40Ghz to become "too slow" anytime soon. There's not much innovation that I can see that will make me want to upgrade. No, over-priced touch screens don't interest me. No, I don't care about detaching my over-priced touch screen from my keyboard. No, I don't care about screens with obsurdly-high resolutions. However, I can see one reason to NOT upgrade: UEFI/Secure Boot. If I can't install the OS of my choosing (which likely won't be Windows), I see no reason to bother to use it.
On the flip-side, SSDs and hybrid SSDs are cool. I'd probably be interested in the speed. Buy, I'm not willing to spend a lot of money on an SSD, because I don't make much money. If I made more, I'd probably make the switch.
