[newsimage]http://static.rankone.nl/images_posts/2011/07/qId2E6.jpg[/newsimage]Are you ready to hear something crazy? An official from the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency is claiming that they can call for the owners of .com or .net addresses to be extradited to the U.S. for a breach of copyright. This extradition can apparently be called for even if the website has no connection to the U.S. and even if there is no copyrighted material being directly hosted on the domain. Wow so a link…let’s say a youtube trailer can get you in trouble soon in the U.S.? Wow who would of thought? I saw it coming years ago. Thank God for the new domains like .(yournamehere) can’t be touched yet. Yet is the key word.
This is no surprise, considering the extreme liberal political ambitions of our current President and Senate majority, combined with a spineless House majority. I have no doubts that this is just a stepping stone, and it will get a lot worse.
Definitely CRAZY! If other foreign governments go along with this… Website owners worldwide will be in fear of getting extradited, without even committing a crime (like linking). What a sad state of affairs…
