hi everybody

I would like to buy my first dvd burner and I post here if someone can help me in my choice

I have read some articles and I found 2 interesting drives : pioneer dvr116 and optiarc 7203a
what do you think about these drives ?

I read that some other brands are nice : benq, lg…

I would like an ide drive with great burning quality and dvd-ram burner (max speeds, lightscribe and dvd-r dl are not significant for me)

thanks to all people can help me

I think any of once you listed are good drives.
I have couple LG and one Lite-On, they are fine.
Definitely use ImgBurn software for burning.
Some drive support full options of Nero Speed (free software for checking disc burn quality)
I know Lite-On does and I think Pioneer too, not sure about Optiarc.
These dayes most of them are SATA. You can always get SATA controller card to install those.
Also important is to use good quality media (disc brand).
