No harm done, but when I fixed a firmware from Dell to flash a LTN486 [complained of not finding a LTN486S], it started to flash without giving me a chance to choose a drive. Luckily, it was the cd-rom drive and not my Liteon 832S. Then at 100%, it refused to terminate. I ended up having to hit the reset button to reboot.
Everything worked out and the PIO/DMA issue is solved, but it was an eye opening experience.
