ok well to start with im jenna evryone and i have a question.. im stuck and have researched what to do but im not getting any straight answers that i understand in ENglish lol... the PROBLEM :a
i have a lg RH397D/RH399D dvd hdd and recorder..i have just unlocked the region code and had to press zero 7 times in the lock menu..thats done..
: now ive got austar connected into it and evrything runs properly as expected and tapes austar channels directly to the hard drive and i can watch them as normal.. BUT as they call it on the hard drive DUBBING. which means copying/burning...... i select the show i want to copy, which is in the library bit and select dubbing and it comes up with ..how long it takes, program length, and rec mode.. now there is a list of rec. modes that say sp, xp,lp, ep, mlp, auto or fast mode... now when i record the austar channel its always set on sp (short or slow play i think) and when i go to dubb it i select sp aswell and select ok.. then it starts and runs through the whole channel that i want to burn and even comes up with the %percentage of what its done and then reaches 100% and waits a bit then stops.. take out the disc and it has burnt it, it looks like ,,but when go to put it in the lg again to play or even in my ps3 or computer and says theres nothing on it or doesnt even recognise it... i dont know whats going on???
now iv heard about something called copy once material,, is that the problem..
then aparently theres another thing called vr mode and you have to have these certain disks to burn the show onto...
plus iv heard some dvd hard drives might have to have a thing called cprm i think.. something about blocking signals from copying the channel.
now i know a bit about technology for a chik but THIS just goes straight over the top of my head lol i just wanna burn my austar shows to disk and keep them for record for myself n not for selling or whatever,, its so frustrating :a can anyone help me ???? cheers jenna
