I know this won’t work, but…

What if I scanned the data side of a DVD with my flatbed (paper document) scanner set @ the highest possible resolution and then printed it to the label side of a Light Scribe disc.
Would it play?
Wouldn’t the reflectivity be all wrong?
Just kidding!
