Have you tried the newest versions of 6.6? Noticed you are using an old one. The latest versions are Nero 6.6.0.18 and Nerovision Express 3.1.0.21. Also, turn on the DMA for your hard drive.

No i havent updated nero. I will do that now. My hard drive does have DMA on. Its a SATA harddrive with DMA5 on it. And my system harddrive is a Maxtor with DMA2 on. This is what it tells me under decvice manager at least! Ill try the update.

NEw log after using updated version of NERO

Sorry, don’t know anything about SATA. I guess Nero doesn’t recognize it.

I don’t think is a nero problem.

Your Maxtor 6E040L0 is UDMA5 and the GSA-4040B is UDMA2.

If the Maxtor and LG burner are in the same IDE channel, seperate them, ie Maxtor in Primary IDE and LG in Secondary IDE. Also use a 80-wire IDE cable for both.

Naw man. The maxtor is IDE and the WD is SATA. The ide is on DMA2 and the SATA is on DMA5. The maxtor is on IDE channel one, and then the dvd drive is on IDE channel two or secondary. The SATA harddrive has its own PCI sata controller. Here is what i did.

I deleted my ALI M5229 PCI IDE Controller, and installed the standard Dual Channel PCI IDE controler. This fixed the problem. I read it in someone elses post. Thanks for the help though!
