I have finally bought my drive: a Pioneer DVR-108 (OEM) with a Manhattan Mercury (Silicon Image chipset based) IDE controller in order for my IDE slots to get expanded by 4. Wares should arrive next Tuesday. I would like to thank:
RickTheRed for giving me this link, which got me to buy the Pioneer instead of the NEC too!
OC-Freak for its reviews on this link - they let me know Silicon Image chipsets are good for ODD too
and finally packetloss for answering my 12 or 13 posts about official bitsetting support for the NEC 3500
Hope my Manhattan Mercury + Pioneer DVR-108 will work well!
